Below are the performers that are scheduled to entertain guests at the GW Inaugural Ball.
Deeds Not Words
Performing in the Empire Room.
Born from a love of all things rock, Deeds Not Words was formed for one purpose, to rock the GW Inaugural Ball. The five members of this group came from far and wide to accomplish the goal of rocking the ball according to George Washington's motto, "Deeds not Words"!
Eric Felten Orchestra
Performing in the Regency Ballroom.
Leading a gold-standard swing orchestra of Washington, D.C.'s finest musicians, internationally respected artist Eric Felten brings his talents as a singer and trombonist to the classic American popular music of the '30s, '40s and '50s.
Jazz 120
Performing in the Palladian Room.
Directed by Professor Peter Fraize, Jazz 120 concentrates on small group jazz from the 1940s to 1960s, focusing on artists such as Charlie Parker, Thelonius Monk, Dizzy Gillespie, Clifford Brown, Miles Davis and Art Blakey.
DJ Critical Mass
Performing in the Exhibit Hall.
Danny Hajjar, ESIA '13, a.k.a. DJ Critical Mass, will rock the house with Top 40, hip-hop, and even a couple of throwbacks to the '90s!
Trio Caliente
Performing in the Diplomat Room.
With vocals in Spanish, Portuguese, Catalan, and English set to a wide array of Latin grooves, Trio Caliente's sound is an inimitable blend of flamenco, pop, and Brazilian jazz that has been enjoyed by political luminaries stateside and abroad.
GW Ballroom
Performing in the Regency Ballroom.
The Ballroom Dance Team is an organization that shares a passion for ballroom dancing. Its competition team gives classes that are open to the GW community and offers private ballroom dance lessons.
GW Raas
Performing in the Exhibit Hall.
As an Indian performing arts group, GW Raas strives to promote and spread awareness of Gujarati culture by performing the traditional dances of Garba and Raas, along with school spirit.
Capital Funk
Performing in the Exhibit Hall.
Capital Funk aims to promote hip hop culture and dance, as well as foster an educational and challenging training environment for each of its dancers.
The Voice Gospel Choir
Performing in the Empire Room.
Through the ministry of song “The Voice” gives the GW community an opportunity to sing and glorify the name of God.
Sons of Pitch
Performing in the Empire Room.
SOP sings current hits, 90s pop, and a few oldies - but they also maintain a diverse and eclectic mix of genres including R&B, Pop, Hymns, Rap, Classical, Barbershop, Heavy Metal, foreign pieces and more.
Generic Theatre Company
Performing in the Empire Room.
As GW’s oldest and largest student performance group, Generic’s mission is to provide fun, interesting, and relevant theatre to the GW community.
GW Troubadours
Performing in the Empire Room.
The Troubadours is George Washington University’s oldest a cappella group. Also known as The Troubs, it is composed of students from throughout the country. They arrange and perform music from a variety of genres, including pop, rock, and R&B.
GW Vibes
Performing in the Empire Room.
The Vibes are one of GW's student-run co-ed a cappella group. Covering a range of musical styles and eras, from 1960s R&B to today's indie rock, the members of The Vibes perform around campus, in the White House, throughout DC, and beyond.
GW Sirens
Performing in the Empire Room.
The GW Sirens is an all-female a cappella group; from its bass-pumping altos to its operatic sopranos, it is a group of young women bonded by their love and passion for song and performance.
Forbidden Planet Productions
Performing in the Empire Room.
Forbidden Planet Productions strives to provide a professional yet fun and unique theatre experience for the well-rounded performer.
Prime Time
Performing in the Ambassdor Ballroom.
This group of high energy muscians will have you out on the dance floor! Their set list is an A-Z of music from today’s hottest hits to medleys and selections from the '50s, '60s, '70s, '80s and '90s.
